Women in Wheels is back at McCormick for the third year! Made by women, for women, this event is all about empowering each other in our community and supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 On October 10th, from 9 am to 12 pm we will be teaching our female guests the basic car knowledge they need to feel more confident caring for their own vehicles. Whether you’re looking to learn a few new skills, become more comfortable with basic car maintenance, or simply to connect with other women in the community, there’s something for everyone. 

Throughout the morning, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to make informed decisions about your vehicle and understand the maintenance that keeps your car safe, reliable, and cost-effective. Most importantly, we’re coming together to share knowledge and empower more women to feel confident behind the wheel. 

What You’ll Learn

The workshop includes hands-on demonstrations covering some of the most useful car care basics, including:

  •  how to check your vehicle’s fluids
  •  how to safely and efficiently change a tire
  •  how to properly jump-start a vehicle
  •  how to understand common dashboard lights and warnings

These skills can help many drivers, and our goal is to reduce the intimidation many feel when trying these tasks on their own. Join us in the shop for a safe, friendly environment with the right tools, plus the chance to try things out yourself with hands-on guidance alongside the demonstrations. 

As always, questions are welcome and encouraged. We want you to get the most knowledge possible out of this event!

Come hungry! Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the event. Don’t forget to grab a goodie bag on your way out! Local parts vendors are generous enough to supply us with fun prizes and goodie bags for participants.
